Description

  • Bronze
assis en vajrasana, la main droite en bhumisparsa mudra, la gauche en avakasha mudra, vêtu d'un fin uttarasangha couvrant l'épaule gauche, les cheveux coiffés de petites boucles et retenus en un haut chignon fixé par un bijou en forme de flamme, les yeux mi-clos et l'expression méditative, le bronze couvert d'une belle patine verte

Authenticated by Jean-Claude Moreau-Gobard, Paris, 28th April 1992. 

Condition

The bronze is large, heavily cast and well cast. The surface is well polished, the bronze patinated to a dark grey colour with areas where the bronze has taken on a light green tone probably from being exposed to water. The central foot on the base is missing. There are traces of gilding to the hair.
