Acquired from Zen Gallery, Brussels, at the Tefaf, Maastricht, in 2005.

Condition

Both deer are heavily cast and richly gilt. Both deer with a rectangular gilt-bronze plug on the underside. There is overall wear to the gilding, particularly to the head of one deer) and some stress cracks to the bodies and rear parts of both deer.
