Acquired directly from the artist in Beijing in 1955.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The painting has been examined outside the frame. The mounted painting has been backed by paper. There are some overall light stains on the upper part of the painting. The paper is of a more grey colour than the catalogue illustration suggests.
