de forme rectangulaire, le couvercle finement sculpté d'un dignitaire escorté de deux soldats et accompagné de trois serviteurs dans un paysage valloné planté de pins, les côtés sculptés de branches de prunus, l'intérieur et la base laqués noir (2)

Condition

The upper left and lower left hand corners of the cover show small areas of restoration to the carved lacquer. The four inside corners and inner edges may have been reinforced along cracks. There are folds to the black lacquer on the inside cover. There is a small area of restoration to the pavillion on the upper right hand side of the cover. There are minor losses to the lacquer along the four corners of the box, one corner with restoration. There are small areas of loss to the lacquer diaper ground on the four sides of the box. The four inside corners and inner edges of the box may have been reinforced along cracks. The lacquer surface is a little dry.
