à décor sculpté en léger relief de deux frises de dragons à cinq griffes pourchassant la perle parmi les nuées, les tiges finement incisé de frises de lotus et d'un extrait de poème par l'Empereur Qianlong 'Xiang yu mingyue qingfeng ji, Zhi zai gaoshan liushui jian', avec le sceau Yu Minzhong

The heavily made folding stand is in overall good condition. There is light overall wear to the gilding of the different parts, particularly to the back with the inscription where part of the gilding has worn off revealing the coppery metal underneath.

Yu Min Zhong (1714-1779), a native of Jiangsu, was a high-ranking official under the Qianlong emperor who served as a provincial governor and then a chief councilor under der Qianlong emperor who established a multi-ethnic corps of governors who functioned within a standardised and regulated administrative world. Provincial administration became one of the central pillars of Qing rule. His name appears on this unusual object which may have been presented to the Qianlong emperor by Yu Minzhong as the seal suggests.
