Condition
This work is in unlined original condition. The surface is clean and bright and the colors remain vibrant. Under UV: the old green varnish fluoresces unevenly. Dots and dashes of finely applied inpainting to address a horizontal disturbance approximately 1 inch above the lower edge fluoresce, as well as a few small dashes of inpainting to address previous craquelure. There is a brushy area of inpainting approximately 1 inch in diameter at the upper left as well as a few additional scattered dots and dashes of retouching to the horse, sky, foreground and extreme right edge.
