Description

turned strongly to his left with lively expression, his thick wavy hair radiating from the crown, swept up above the forehead, and bound in a fillet adorned with clusters of berries.; no restorations.

Provenance

French private collection, acquired in the 1950s (Crédit Municipal de Paris, Paris, April 2nd, 2016)

Condition

As shown, no restorations. Note tip of nose and chin chipped, proper left cheek scratched. Various nicks overall. Glittery surface over the face, slightly weathered over the hair. Two large chips on back of the head. Proper right side of neck and hair with areas of dark incrustation.
