the cheerful boy seated on a wheeled cart, his left hand holding the reins of a hobby horse and the right arm raised carrying a lantern over his shoulder, the stone of an even white tone flecked with dark brown patches

Condition

The figure is in overall good condition. There are some typical minor nicks and bruises to the edges, including the hens of his robe and trousers, the largest an approx. 0.6 cm chip to the measuring ribbon below the lantern.The catalogue illustration is a tinge brighter than the actual colour of the stone.
