Condition

This work is in very good condition. The sheet is hinged to the mat at the top edge. There is residue of former adhesive along the edges and corners of the reverse.

Catalogue Note

Childe Hassam visited the English town of Broadstairs in the summer of 1889. The coastal setting, located about 80 miles east of London on the Isle of Thanet, served as inspiration for a number of his compositions.
