This work is in very good condition. There are a few small chips of loss at the edges. There is some craquelure in the sky. Under UV: there is some inpainting along the top edge and there are a few scattered dots in the sky.

Alfred Maurer painted the present work at Shady Brook Farm in Marlboro, New York, where he spent several summers living and painting the Hudson Valley scenery in the late 1920s.
