Overall measurements: 540cm the left hand side, 557cm the right hand side, 385cm cross the top; 410cm across the bottom. Of good scale and beautiful drawing. In country house condition. Overall worn, the central medallion and upper left hand quadrant with 1mm pile down to knotheads and knotbars. The upper right hand quadrant and lower half, extending into lower third of medallion, largely down to foundation and knotbars. There are a number of splits to the sides, largest on left measuring approx. 6cm and largest on right measuring approx. 11cm. There is a split to the upper end of the ivory field measuring approx 30cm. The upper right hand quadrant with surface marks and discolouration. There are a number of areas of repair, largely seen in the lower third of carpet, some with colour run. The tassled ends later applied, sidecords likely later. First hand inspection is recommended, further images of condition can be requested through the department. Carpet has been recently professionally cleaned. Carpet would benefit from professional restoration.
