Condition
The panel is flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. Some craquelure is visible notably in the dark impasto in the lower half of the composition, possibly due to paint shrinkage. There are some scattered lighter spots throughout, notably in the upper half of the composition, probably suggesting degradation in the varnish layers and which are visible in the online catalogue illustration. There is also some frame rubbing with isolated spots of paint flaking in the extreme framing edges. Ultra-violet light reveals some small scattered spots of cosmetic retouching . This work is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative girl frame.
