Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Ultra-violet light reveals retouchings in the sky to the right of the woman's face and in the upper right corner, some of which are also visible to the naked eye. Other scattered strokes are visible in the trousers of the man to the right, in the ground in the lower left quadrant and in the extreme upper left corner. There are also some very small spots visible in and around the woman's face. The picture is overall in good condition and is ready to hang.
Presented in a gilt frame.
