Overall, the condition of the bronze is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is very minor pitting to the bronze in areas. There is some dark spotting to the bronze in areas. There is minor greening in some of the crevices, notably in the bunch of flowers in the girl's hand. There is a reddish hue to the patina in areas, in particular to the drapery at the back, which is probably original. There are a few minor nicks and scratches, notably some scratches to the neck. Three small spots, which are probably original casting pins, are slightly visible to the nose.
