Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are naturally occurring inclusions to the marble, including to Psyche’s proper left arm. The wings are carved separately, and joints are visible. There are a few minor chips to the wings. There is naturally occurring veining, in particular to the terrasse. There are some possible minor chips and abrasions to the edges of the terrasse. There are some filled inclusions to Cupid’s proper right elbow. There are restorations to Psyche’s proper right toes. There are a few very small chips to the drapery at the back. There is a small inclusion to Psyche’s proper left cheek bone.
