Condition
Overall the condition of the terracotta is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a slip to the surface throughout, which may conceal some condition points. There are some minor stable firing cracks, consistent with the material, notably one to the chest at the centre. There are a few small chips to the laurel leaves. There is some craquelure to the ceramic tile.
There is general dirt and wear, including splitting and scratching, to the ebonised wood socle.
