Overall the condition of the wood is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is evidence of non active worming, in particular to the base. The base is made in two sections and there is a joint. The figures are a little loose on the base. The woman’s feet and the dog’s feet are carved separately and are slightly loose. There is minor wear to the polychromy, in particular at the edges. There is also some flaking to the polychromy, in particular to the flesh tones of the woman at the back and the sides, and particularly the thigh. There could be some possible minor restoration to some of the edges of the dog and at the woman's knee in the flesh tone. There is minor craquelure to the paint. The dog is carved in sections. There are some wood plugs joining the sections. "In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
