Condition

Overall in fair condition consistent with age and use. A modular shelving system that remains one of the most successful models produced by Rud. Rasmussens in Copenhagen. As each element is modular, it allows for multiple mounting and display possibilities. The wood has been recently oiled and retains a rich mahogany hue. The overall wood surfaces present with extensive surface scratches located to the top of the cabinet units, and overall with light surface scratches, nicks and some abrasions all consistent with age, use and repetitive mounting and unmounting of this associated modular wall system. Three shelving units pre-drilled by the producer with 4 holes each for wall mounting purpose. Four shelving units with later drill holes in the corners, several of which have dark filler. One shelving unit with no drilled holes. One cabinet opening to 12 maple sliding galleried drawers and two adjustable shelves. Two cabinets opening to two fixed and three adjustable shelves. One cabinet opening to two fixed and 4 adjustable shelves. The four cabinets with drilled holes to their sides for secure mounting and tightening as a modular wall unit. Additionally, two cabinets with later and uneven sawn opening to their back (each approximately 4 inch high by 2 inch wide).
