Overall very good condition. The brass column with a nice patina and a scattered, light oxidation and tarnishing, as is common with this material over time. Overall there are minor scattered nicks, light scratches and general signs of wear, consistent with age and gentle use. The ball at the base of the shade rod with a very small (1mm.) loss to lacquer. The upper front edge of the metal shade is very slightly bent forward (under the brass ring) and not visually distracting. A small area of touch up to the lacquer (1 1/4 x 1/2 in.) on the shade, by the adjuster rod. The walnut handle with a very small hairline in wood, radiating from where it meets the brass. This is common with the drying of wood details such as this over time and is stable. Generally, the lamp presents very well overall, with the adjusting screws in proper working condition.
