Last drunk on Valentine's Day 2014 from our own en primeur stock. On the nose, I thought it was a First Growth, until it dawned on me that it came from a region with no classification - Pomerol! The overpowering intensity and spiciness are awe-inspiring. So complex and multi-dimensional. Sumptuous on the palate, irony and voluptuous. Blackcurrant and cinnamon, with a hint of black liquorice. The vigour of this wine is extraordinary. Better than it has ever been - and I felt the Malbec here at the time. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
