well rendered in the form of Shoulao standing with the head slightly inclined towards the front, carved with wide cheekbones below long eyebrows and his characteristic protruding forehead, the deity depicted stroking the end of his long finely combed beard, dressed in long robes and detailed with a long tassel at the front, the figure partially enveloped by the burls and nodes on the sides and back, the smooth patina of a warm golden-brown colour, bronze stand
