Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its time keeping and therefore a service should be carried out in the near future at the buyer's expense. The movement is running and the chronograph is operating correctly at the time of cataloguing. Very attractive dial in good condition, not glowing. The reference 6262 was produced during a few years only, between the end of the 60's to 1972. It differs from its cousin, reference 6264, by its metal bezel.

It is fitted with Calibre 727, the evolution of calibre 722-1. Rolex improved the calibre's performance by changing the balance from 18'000 to 21'600 vibration per hour which noticeably increased the precision. 

The registers of the present lot have faded to give the watch an exceptional and unique patina which enhances its collectable interest.
