Catalogue Note

Launched in 2008 Ref. 5131 very quickly gained notoriety among collectors and connoisseurs. The present lot in yellow gold features a cloisonné enamel dial depicting the Americas, Europe and Africa. The skill required to create such dials is in very short supply and as a result only two or three artists are able to create as little as thirty dials each year. Completed entirely by hand, it is for this reason that each of these dials can quite rightly be considered unique, no doubt a factor in the lasting interest and extensive waiting list for this particular reference.
Ref 5131J is today discontinued making this lot a very rare opportunity to find this beautiful piece in factory sealed and "like-new" condition.
