Catalogue Note

Cette micromosaïque reprend le tableau de Claude Lorrain (1600-1682), appelé couramment 'Le pont de bois', peint vers 1640-1641, et vendu chez Sotheby's Londres, 12 Décembre 1973. Il n'existe aucune information sur l'artiste 'P. Capoani', ce qui est étrange compte-tenu de la finesse de cette mosaïque. Il se peut que cet artiste ait ensuite changer de spécialité ou bien mourût trop jeune.
