Catalogue Note
The bijoutier-garnisseur (jeweller and mounter) Pierre Simon is not recorded as registering a doublé mark but his gold/silver poinçon, registered in 1810-1811 shows his initials flanking an arrowhead as in this doublé mark. Simon is recorded in business at 22 rue Bourg-l'Abbé until at least 1830.
