Condition
To the naked eye:
The painting appears in good condition.
It has been re-lined a bit strongly at the end of the 20th century.
It has also been cleaned correctly. We notice a trace of horizontal seam on the full length of the painting, at 6 cm. from the upper edge.
Under U.V. light:
We notice some slight dots of restoration the Christ’s body, on St Thomas’ face, and on the face of the figure behind him. We also notice a restoration on the full length of the seam, already reported as well as a restoration of a former oblique tear from the middle of the upper edge to between the two faces of Christ and Saint Thomas, that stops at the level of their noses (23 cm). The painting doesn’t need any restoration.
