Condition

Very good condition overall with a few very minor scratches and stains to the surface. Crisp cast with fine hammering especially to the hair.

Catalogue Note

Le modèle antique, conservé dans la Sala dei Busti du musée Pio-Clémentino au Vatican, fut autrefois considéré à tort comme étant le buste de la déesse égyptienne Isis. Le sculpteur anglais Joseph Gott (1786-1860) en réalisa une copie en marbre.
