figurant un Egyptien agenouillé devant un autel en porphyre, couronné d'un bouquet de trois bras de lumière à motif de palmettes et rosaces étoilées ; reposant sur une base en bronze patiné incisée de hiéroglyphes sur un contre-socle rectangulaire en bronze doré

Condition
The image is not completely accurate : the gilding looks actually warmer and more yellow in reality. Inevitable scratches, marks and dents all throughout the different surfaces. Gilt-bronzes with some wear and staining. Patina also with wear on the most exposed areas; a small cast default on the rear top of each head (not distracting).
The top border of one red marble base broken (but no missing piece) ; on the same candelabra, the pearl frieze is slightly twisted on the base. However, highly attractive objects in good overall condition.

Ces candélabres sont une variante plus rare, sans doute réalisée en Europe continentale, du modèle conçu par Feuchère qui comprend une Egyptienne agenouillée aux bras levés pour soutenir le bouquet (catalogue d'exposition Egyptomania, Paris, 1994, pp. 290-292, n°170).
