Condition

The canvas has not been lined and undulates slightly in the upper right hand corner. Otherwise the work appears to be in good overall condition. UV light inspection reveals an opaque later of surface varnish, which obscures conclusive reading. There appear to be areas of retouching around the head of the left hand dog and a few small flecks to the head of the right hand dog. Some possible further touches to the back of the left hand dog and a few small areas to the upper right corner. Held in a gild plaster frame.
