Condition
Condition:This work is in very good condition. Some faint creases, paper undulation and very light abrasions to the edges of the paper, all in line with the artist creation process and choice of medium. Colours:The colours in the catalogue illustration are accurate, with the overall tonality of the paper being softer and less red in the original work. The illustration fails to convey the bright and reflective golden scripture and ornamentation around the Xray imagery.

Catalogue Note
‘This painting explores the confusion in the identity of mankind in the contemporary world. The X-ray, sitting on top of a deep, layered background of medical text and expressive paint, represents an objective view of the individual, chosen to provoke a familiar response…My approach as a doctor has been evidence based and influenced by a direct experience of the world.’
