Oblong folio (232 x 315mm.), 50 albumen prints by Caire (average 135 x 190mm., or the reverse), mounted on card, recto only, printed description (numbered 1-50) pasted on the reverse, photographer's copyright blindstamp on each mount, contemporary brown half roan, crimson cloth boards, printed paper label on upper cover, slight damp-staining to lower board and inner margins of some mounts, spine and corners worn, label chipped

Catalogue Note

Guernsey-born Caire (1837-1918) moved to Australia and settled in Melbourne where he became principal photographer with the Anglo-Australasian Photo Company, specialising in landscape photography.
