Catalogue Note

The supplement has a separate title page (dated 1813), Field sports, &c. &c. of the native inhabitants of New South Wales, and is bound in the middle of the volume rather than the end. The order of the plates varies considerably from that listed by Abbey and Schwerdt. Apart from Australia, many sports are illustrated from around the world, including Europe (with a section on Spanish bull-fighting), the Americas, India and Africa, as well as hunting whales.
