Large oblong folio (475 x 634mm.), 69 ALBUMEN PRINTS (average 270 x 380mm., or the reverse), and 2 folding panoramas: a 5-part PANORAMA OF ATHENS (230 x 1520mm.), and a 6-part PANORAMA OF CONSTANTINOPLE from the Galata tower (230 x 1700mm.), all mounted on thick card, recto and verso, CONTEMPORARY RED MOROCCO, spine in compartments with raised bands, titled in black on spine "ORIENT" and "2", gilt edges, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, some fading and spotting to images and mounts, repaired tear into one mount affecting one image, some other minor wear to a few images

Catalogue Note
An impressive photograph album containing views of Damascus (11), Palmyra (10), Baalbeck (20), Rhodes (2), Smyrna and region (2), Athens (11, plus a panorama), Mycenae (2), Constantinople (7, plus a panorama), Therapia (Tarabya, 1) and Bursa (3). Many of the photographs are signed in the negative by the photographer Pascal Sebah, apart from the photographs of Baalbeck which appear to be by Bonfils. This is a companion volume to lot 172.
