The album appears to have been compiled by a German traveller who stayed at Shepheards Hotel in Cairo. The images include views in Cairo, the procession of the Mahmal to Mecca, ancient Egyptian monuments, the construction of the Aswan dam, a camel market, agricultural scenes, and portraits.
