Catalogue Note
A VERY GOOD COPY OF "THE BEST AND MOST COMPLETE EDITION [OF HAKLUYT]" (Hill).
According to Lowndes this is an accurate reprint of the second edition (see lot 58), with the addition of those voyages which were published in the first edition, and omitted in the second. It also has a supplement containing all the voyages and travels printed by Hakluyt, or at his suggestion, but not included in the first two editions. They form the latter part of the fourth (from p.393 onwards), and whole of the fifth volume, and were sold separately to complete old editions.
