Condition

Overall in very good condition. The bottle presents with a few small and minor air bubble and particulate inclusions inherent in the making, outside of the decorative technique. The coloration of the bottle displays a very slight yellow hue throughout which contrasts well with the inclusions of white and black toward the base of the bottle. The shaped edges of the bottle and stopper with scattered isolated minute flea bites and some small and light surface scratches commensurate with age and handling. One of the edges of the facets to the cut diamond motif band with a chip measuring approximately ¼ inch in length. The flat faceted top of the rim is engraved with a ‘4’ which corresponds with the ‘3’ mark on the stopper, indicating the stopper is original. The stopper in good condition with some a minor chip to the edge of the wider portion of the terminal measuring approximately 1/8 inch, which are not visible once the stopper is placed. An exquisite, rare work by Steuben showing great artistry in the faceting heightened by the internal inclusions and nuanced coloration throughout.
