Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 5 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of these hairlines appear stable. The shade leading is particularly well rendered, with fine pencil leading, and a rich green and russet brown patina. The base displays an exceptionally rich and layered brown, russet and green patina. The bronze surfaces throughout with some occasional light surface scratches, rubbing, and minor traces of surface residue consistent with age and very gentle use. All three sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. With a period heat cap, that shows a harmonious patina to the base, and with a few very minor and shallow surface bruises. A particularly fine and naturalistic portrayal of the subject displaying a superb and artistic glass selection distinguished by a thoughtful use of confetti and vigorously mottled glass which greatly enhances the visual interest and depth of the shade. When viewing this lamp in person, the colors are richer and more nuanced, and slightly less red, than seen in the catalogue illustration.
