Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 5 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of these hairlines appear stable. All of the cabochon jewels appear original and undisturbed and are in excellent condition. The top two rows of translucent white cabochons are plated (layered) on the reverse side of the shade in purple (top row) and green (lower row) to enhance the visual interest and depth of the shade. The bronze "Root" base is in beautiful condition, displaying an exceptionally deep and rich layered green and russet patina. The telescoping device functions smoothly. The bronze surfaces throughout with some occasional surface scratches, rubbing, and a few very small and minor losses to the patina, consistent with age and gentle use. With traces if light surface oxidation and soiling to the recessed contours of the base. All six of the sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed to the base. With a period heat cap that displays a harmonious patina to the base, with gentle rubbing and a small bruise along the top perimeter.
