Literature

Alastair Duncan, Tiffany: Lamps and Metalware, Woodbridge, Suffolk, 2007, p. 438

Condition

Overall very good condition. The bronze surfaces present with a rich russet brown patina with very minor and light surface scratches, abrasions, rubbing to the high points of the design, and slight discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The ashtray with some expected tobacco residue. The tree trunk with scattered minute specks of white house paint. The cigar holder with metal liner which appears to be original. The match drawer with a small area of oxidation above the drawer pull and on the adjacent area of the tree trunk, measuring approximately 3/4 inch wide. A minor area along the bottom edge of the drawer has been touched up with black paint at some point in the history of the piece. A very sculptural and finely detailed figurative piece by Tiffany.
