Condition
The canvas is unlined.
Tiny pin holes are visible in three of the four corners and there is a very small scratch towards the bottom of the left framing edge.
As visible in the catalogue illustration there is a small circa 2 by 2 cm unrepaired tear in the lower left quadrant and a small dent with minor paint flaking above this near the foliage.
Ultraviolet light reveals no visible signs of retouching. This painting could benefit from minor restoration and a light surface clean ; however it is otherwise in good original condition.
Presented in a modern gilt frame with a cloth covered in a slip.
