Condition
To the naked eye:
The painting appears in good condition.
It is painted on an oak panel made of a non-cradled plank. The panel is perfectly straight and the material is absolutely stable. We notice a very slight beginning of crack from the right edge toward the middle of the painting. The painting has been correctly cleaned a couple of decades ago.
Under U.V. light:
The painting is partially unvarnished. Some areas of old varnish still remain in the middle of the painting as well as in the upper left corner. We notice some traces of uplift, particularly in the upper right corner.
