Condition
To the naked eye:
Both paintings appear in very satisfactory condition.
Both are painted on an oak panel made of a non-cradled plank.
The two panels are perfectly flat and the painting is very stable. We do not notice any uplift.
On the portrait of a little girl we notice some very fine craquelure slightly open, especially on the lower part and on the right.
Under U.V. light:
We notice traces of an old green varnish. Both paintings have been partially unvarnished, especially the portrait of a little girl.
We do not notice any restoration.
