Description

  • Choc de cavalerie

Condition

To the naked eye: The painting appears in relatively satisfactory condition except some lacks of pictorial material (visible on the picture) on the right (visible on the picture). It has been relined most likely in the 19th century. It appears under a very dirty varnish. The canvas is a bit distended and we notice numerous losses near the right edge. Under U.V. light: The painting appears under a thick green and uniform varnish. We notice some very light old retouching in the sky.
