Condition

The panel is flat and even. There is a circa 7 cm horizontal crack towards the top of the right edge (visible in the catalogue illustration), however this appears to be stable. Ultraviolet light reveals a circa 4 by 1 cm area of retouching towards the top of the right edge apparently corresponding to an area of paint loss. There are some other small marginal areas of paint loss towards the right and lower edges (visible in the catalogue illustration), however the impasto appears to be well preserved otherwise. The painting is otherwise in good overall condition and ready to hang. The colors in reality are richer than in the catalogue illustration with a less yellow cast overall.
