Condition
The canvas has not been lined.
As visible in the catalogue illustration, in the sky to the left, there are three very small vertical slits all of which are smaller than circa 5 mm.
There is a faint pattern of craquelure which appears to be lifting slightly notably in the upper left corner
Ultraviolet light reveals notably a vertical area of restoration towards the left edge in the sky, and other smaller scattered spots. Traces of old residual varnish in the land fluoresce opaquely and make the service more difficult to read
The painting is otherwise in good condition.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame with a plain wood inner slip.
