Catalogue Note
First edition. Despite the attribution to Cervantes in the title, the work has since been attributed to different authors including Mateo Aleman, Alonso Fernandez de Avellaneda or Gaspar Gil Polo, but Dale Randall attributed it to Jorge de Montemayor, the author of the famous and very popular Diana.
