Woodcut illustration on title-page (repeated on L1v), 5 other woodcut text illustrations and diagrams (one repeated on N2r) for a total count of 8, woodcut initials and tailpiece, text chiefly in black letter; paper flaw on title-page fore-margin, fore-margins dampstained, more pronounced in last few quires, some headlines shaved. Late eighteenth-century polished calf, spine in 6 compartments with raised bands ruled in gilt, red edges; spine head chipped, joints weak, gilt ornaments in spine compartments faded to blind.
