Condition

The canvas has not been lined. There are some occasional areas of very fine craquelure only visible on close inspection; otherwise the work appears to be in good overall condition ready to hang. Ultraviolet light inspection reveals retouching along the framing edges, there is a small area of retouching to the right of the central lady's dress. There are some further minor touches elsewhere. Held in a painted wooden frame.
