Catalogue Note

According to a letter written in 1982 by Stanley Siegel, this fine bedstead was found in the eaves of the Osborn homestead in Weare, New Hampshire. Moses Osborn was a cabinetmaker and a painter. Mr. Siegel indicated that the other furniture in the house had the same paint and it was his conclusion that the bed was most certainly made by Osborn.
