Condition
Wax-lined, appears to retain original pine stretchers. In-paint and restoration on the right side of his wig area, forehead, under the eyes, upper lip, cheek, and chin. In-painting along the edge of the jacket and in the area of the stock. In-paint on the right arm and in the background in the shipping scene to the subject's left. Stabilized craquelure overall. Possibly over a fireplace. Significant amount of inpaint and bloom in the varnish.
